BOOO! Happy Halloween! One of my Favorite Days of the year!

Busy busy busy is the current theme of my life....but managed to get these 2 new crow rider dolls finished today!

Cedric looks like he is having fun riding his pet crow. What do you think?

Zombie Dolls? Sort of..... but they are a bit too cute for zombies.....

These 2 dolls are my attempt at some halloween zombies...... the image in my head was quite different at the first, then how they finished...... so, they are sort of zombies, lol cute ones with no blood or injuries.:) I wish they were scarier, but as with all of my creations, the dolls themselves decide how they want to be.

I had so much fun making these. I started out with prefab bendi bodies, ofcourse I had to change the heads, those flat small beaded heads just wouldn't work for me. Their bodies are bendable and pose-able. Heads are handdrawn, needle sculpted for dimension, hand painted.... & dressed in a variety of recycled fabrics.

Poor dead RIP-unzel is the first in my series of "Unhappily EverAfter Art Dolls"
Contrary to the Grimm fairy tale......when RIP-unzel let down her hair for her lover to climb her golden locks & rescue her from the tower.... it didn't end up saving her. It was a bad idea. His great weight pulling on her hair inadvertently pulled her from the tower window, whereas she plummeted to the ground below, breaking her neck..... and she lay dead at her lovers feet......unhappily ever after........

Happy New Year from Artsy Craftsy Folks!

Already 3 days into 2014, wow. The time sure has flown by since my last post. I haven't been that busy in the studio, because other aspects of my life kept interfering with my creativity. Now that things have quieted down, I have been able to work in the studio the last two days......which feeeeels amazing. :) Also getting lots of half completed projects closer to completion and getting back into a somewhat organized "groove". 

Just before Christmas I was pleased to sell 5 of my art dolls from my etsy shoppe. It really cleaned out the studio, but it was a lovely Christmas gift indeed, to ship these guys and gals off for an adventure to ASPEN, Colorado. I was delighted to hear of their arrival this morning, and was sent pictures of their new local. It sure looks like they are having a good time there in Aspen on display @ www.elubycn.com

Four New Little Oddball Dolls I Created

I had alot of fun making these dolls. I started out with prefab bendi bodies I had purchased and didn't know what to do with, because I didn't like their head shape, or size.......So chopping off the Bendi heads and adding huge heads with big stoner eyeballs was the inspiration I needed.......

I find Mr. Stern ending up looking like "If Weird Al and Howard Stern had a baby" ........but that is my sense of humour, you may or may not find that totally as funny as I do......... Mr. Contento is a happy spanish guy. Rojo is a redheaded peed off lady on a mission, and Pissy Missy looks like someone I know, but I wouldn't dream of mentioning names.....lol Thanks for Looking at my latest creations.:)
