I had a half finished doll body, that has been laying on my shelf since November because I lost inspiration and couldn't decide who this guy could be......then I found the discarded glasses and mini-book and was inspired to make him into "Professor Pompous"..........
Professor Pompous, aptly named for his snobby expression behind his spectacles, measures aprox. 26" tall (including his hat). He has bent knees for being posed in a seated position, however he looks great hanging on the wall, as shown in the pictures. He holds a book in his wired individual fingered hands. The glasses he wears, are a discarded pair of Tommy Hilfiger Brand eye wear. He features yarn hair, hand painted facial features and three dimensional eyes. His body & head made entirely from muslin fabric.
He was fun to create - I hope he brings you a smile. :)
I have sketched out a new character that was inspired by a conversation with a good friend who told me a "expression or saying" that her mother used to use when my friend was a little girl. I hope to be able to share some pics soon, once I get crafting this idea into the form of a new creepy doll. I hope to be able to start him this week. :)
